Ah Sah Lan Wa Sah Lan Ramadhan Al Kareem...Selamat datang Ramadhan Yang Mulia

Assalamualikum wbrt to all

Ahsahlanwasahlan Ya Ramdhan Al Kareem 1430H..May this Ramadhan increase our iman and amal.

<em>Al-Baqarah verse 183: "O ye who believe! Fasting is precribed to you as it was prescribed to those before you, that ye may (learn) self-restraint"

Ramadhan is considered as a training of self-restraint for us, not only from drinking and eating but our nafs as well...ehem..especially dealing with human behaviour. May be that's why we are encouraged to 'ikhtikaf' especially the last ten days of Ramadhan.. The challenges are ..the last days are the time for Eid's preparation and balik kampung syndrome. Can I change it? Not sure yet but Insya Allah I'll try...

Other notes

Sugar shortage might affect our Eid celebration. You think so?.. Well..may I suggest instead of indulging in sweet sweet things aka cookies and alike..we might just eat rempeyek, kerepek ubi(plain), tumpi, bananna chips..and others which devoid of sugar. Well if you still have sweet tooth just use brown sugar..I think it is healthier and organic.

I want to relate an accident that I experienced last weekend while eating out lunch with my friends. The restaurant we frequented was full...anyway it was just an ordinary restaurant in Shah Alam.. nothing fancy. After 15 minutes, we managed to get seats.."Kak nak minum apa?" The waiter asked..I said "Tea O Limau ais". Others said " Air barli, teh O "..After some pause the waiter said " semua yang O dan guna gula tak de" "Kenapa" we asked.."gula habis" the Achehnes guy said.."Hanya boleh order yang bersusu"..well It did not go very well with our soups..At the end all of us ordered 'teh ais' and diluted with a glass of plain water..so sweet wei.

I read in Yahoo..the sugar shortage worldwide was due to droughts in India and Mexico. The two countries are main exporters of sugar.Droughts mean less produce. Many dietians would advice against taking sugar and regard it as unneccassry....Change our eating habit? Can we do away with sugar in our food intake..?

Salam Ramadhan Al kareem again

H1N1 and other things in life

Salam to all

Count down to Ramadhan 1430H..about two weeks to go.welcoming Madrasah Ramadhan.
Saum or fasting is a personal ibadah that only we could know our level of committment..

H1N1 pandemic...

On a different note..H1N1 is a musibah that we have to endure and continuously safeguard our health by following some measures prescribed by the authorities. Nuruddin was down with fever since last Wednesday..recovering Alhamdullillah. Yesterday Ammar and Abrar were down as well..Alhamdullillah today they are up and around..I instructed a strict regime to them..no outings..strictly at home..take prescribed medicine..and vitamins as well as honey and lemon... Nowadays I routinely every morning forcing myself to have one or two hand squeezed freshly home made orange juice. Lately I prefer liquid form of vitamin instead of poping in pills.

The little boys, 5 and 6 years old recover faster than Nuruddin the 18 years old..I guess Nuruddin has less immunity since he is asthmatic...Ye as told by the media those with chronic diseases need to be extra careful....Nurhanifan , my second boy with only a slight flu..also being banned from attending school and tuition...I told him "you must rest"...Busy attending the family's need...my work is put on hold ..

Editing - not easy

I was told to do my editing since May 2009..to date very little progress..I somehow got stuck with chapter two..ye..Chapter two supposedly a literature review. . My second supervisor gave feedbacks concisely. However, to amend it ..I need to crack my head to figure out..how to make it as flow as a river flow..easy to understand and not being disrupted with disorganized data and figure....Some data from the analysis have to be placed in methodology...and "why you discussed something in Chapter 6 which is not mentioned in Chapter one"..Those are some of the things that need to be rearranged and rewritten..and rewritten...then you lost for words..hah..ha cabaran

Ya Allah permudahkanlah urusan hamba Mu ini..dan lancarkanlah kata-kata dan penulisannnya...Ameen Ya Rabbila'lamin..

Other notes

I sometimes silently follow blogs of special interest.. such as Raden Galoh..Ayu and others..these people are given special test by Our Maker..breast cancer at various stages..MasyaAllah they show a strong will and the diseases make them closer to Allah...Many lessons can be learned from their predicament.....My doas also to Dr Hafidzi (Lambaian Islah-PACE activist)..Ustazah Marhamah(JIM activist and SAMT Hishamuddin deputy head principal - Amru's school) and Dr Lo' LO'((MP KL?)May Allah grant the speedy recovery to them InsyaAllah..
